Please get in touch for an initial discussion without obligation regarding your commission. If this is your first time commissioning a painting, please don't worry as I will be happy to help with anything you are unsure of and answer any questions you may have. You can expect to recieve the quote for your commission once I have recieved some information about the topic. Typically, I would need to know the subject, the background, the medium (pastel, watercolour or oil) and the desired size. A photograph of the subject is ideal, please send them by mail or as an e-mail attachment. If you do not have suitable photographs I may be able to help depending on the subject.
This service is absolutely free and there are no obligations, so please feel free to ask! If you choose to proceed with the commission, I request a 25% non-refundable deposit at the time of the order, the balance will be due upon completion. After our initial conversation, I will send you a sketch, via email, for your approval prior to starting the painting. Near completion I will send you a picture of the painting (printed or via e-mail) for final approval. If at any point you wish to view an update of the painting in progress I will be happy to do this.
While I will always guarantee the standard of my work, you remain under no obligation to accept the final painting. If you have a specific budget, please let me know so that I can advise you on the choice of size and background appropriately. Artwork will always be quoted and supplied unframed. If you wish to include framing with the work, please let me know. Payment can be received in cash in person, cheque or bank transfer. Payment can be made by instalments if you prefer, in which case the painting will be despatched when the final payment is cleared.
It should be noted that I will retain full rights including copyright in all artwork, commissioned or otherwise. Commissioned work is for personal use, it can not be used for financial gain or reproduced without my written permission. If you wish to request a commission for commercial uses, such as licensing or reproduction, please mention this at the beginning of our discussions.
